Our prayer for you is that you have been safe, cautious, and healthy through this time, but since the quarantine, we have been planning our reopening process, and what that would look like.

 

On April 24th, Gov. Hogan released Maryland Stong, A Roadmap to Recovery. Taking our governmental official’s guidance into account, here is Highlights Staged Reopening Plan and how we plan on safely getting back to our in-person gatherings and experiences.

*Each stage doesn’t have a “definite timeline” and we will move from one stage to another with discretion and caution.

**Just because Maryland moves into a new stage, doesn’t mean Highlight will as well. We will continue to keep you, our church family, and guest’s safety and health as our top priority when gauging our next steps into each stage.

 CDC Resources for Community and Faith-Based Organizations: The CDC has also created resources specifically for faith-based organizations to respond to influenza pandemic, which are applicable in this situation. As a church, we’re implementing this guidance.

 Managing Anxiety Around Coronavirus Coverage: The American Psychological Association created this resource to help manage anxiety around coverage of COVID-19.

 Addressing Mental Health Issues: This resource from the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Network provides guidelines for addressing mental health issues that may arise, and offers advice for messaging, including among children, older adults, people with disabilities, and those in quarantine.
